Tech·Ed 2005: Compuware Previews Quality Solutions for Microsoft Application Development
Founding Member of the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Program

Compuware Corporation today announced at the Microsoft Tech·Ed Conference (booth #540-542) that it is showcasing and demonstrating the integration of its quality solutions - DevPartner and QACenter - with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System.

Compuware's solutions across the application life cycle enable enterprises to build, test and manage high-quality applications using Microsoft technologies. These solutions work together to deliver value to enterprises that depend upon mission-critical applications to remain competitive in increasingly complex and demanding business environments.

"Compuware is a founding member of the Microsoft Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP) Program, and we are pleased to have its continued support of Microsoft Visual Studio," said Prashant Sridharan, group product manager in the .NET Developer Product Management Group at Microsoft Corp. "Compuware's solutions enhance the ability of development teams that have adopted Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System to make quality a priority throughout the application development life cycle."

Compuware will give Tech·Ed attendees a technology preview and demonstration of the upcoming version of DevPartner Studio Professional Edition. Version 8.0 will support and integrate with Visual Studio 2005, offer enhanced support for Web services, introduce new performance analysis capabilities and offer basic features of the DevPartner family's new error-simulation solution, DevPartner Fault Simulator. DevPartner Studio 8.0 Professional Edition will go into beta this summer and is scheduled to launch later this year.

Compuware will also showcase at Tech·Ed its two recently launched DevPartner products. DevPartner Fault Simulator is the first tool to provide the ability to simulate common environmental and Microsoft .NET Framework error conditions so that error-handling code can be tested, leading to higher-quality applications. DevPartner SecurityChecker provides the most comprehensive capabilities available to locate and correct security vulnerabilities in Microsoft ASP.NET-based applications.

Also at Tech·Ed, Compuware will preview the next release of QACenter Enterprise Edition's functional testing solution, TestPartner. Compuware TestPartner 5.4 will offer automated functional and regression testing integration with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System. By extending Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System test capabilities to include Compuware TestPartner's GUI testing, organizations will lower project risk and maximize productivity. This gives developers integrated access to the same testing assets as testers, allowing them to find and resolve errors more quickly, enhance communication and collaboration while improving application quality. TestPartner 5.4 will go into beta later this year.

"Compuware shares Microsoft's vision for an automated application development life cycle that reduces the complexity of delivering modern service-oriented applications," said Bob Barker, Vice President of Strategic Planning at Compuware Corporation. "Compuware's quality solutions, DevPartner and QACenter, complement the Microsoft application development life cycle to help teams efficiently deliver high-quality, production-ready applications and deploy with confidence."

Compuware will conduct product demonstrations of the company's solutions at booth #540-542 during the week of June 5 at Microsoft Tech·Ed.
