Telerik announced the landmark release of its Q1 2008 RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX and WinForms, and Telerik Reporting. The new release represents a final touch in Telerik's goal to offer a comprehensive and mature toolset of next-generation web and desktop components.

RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX (formerly codenamed "Prometheus") is an innovative set of components built entirely on top of ASP.NET AJAX, leveraging the power and flexibility of the new Microsoft framework. Now featuring over 20 controls for use in ASP.NET 2.0/3.5, RadControls is the most comprehensive toolset for building richer and more responsive web applications.

Major highlights of the suite are:

RadControls for WinForms Q1 2008 suite includes great new controls ( RadCarousel navigation control and a RadForm component) and applications, as well as performance improvements. Q1 2008 also features a completely redesigned and improved RadGridView control.

Q1 2008 is also a milestone in Telerik's quest for an intuitive tool for report creation and styling. With the new release, Telerik Reporting becomes a tool to introduce a full WYSIWYG, graph-paper-like design surface integrated in Visual Studio that displays the actual report layout as it will be printed on paper. The updated Telerik Reporting tool also features a new export format (RTF), as well as automatic report parameter UI for accepting run-time user supplied parameters.
