Google Pack Sidelines Firefox

Google drops Firefox for its new out-of-beta Chrome browser

Google, which made Mozilla rich supporting Firefox because Google was its default search engine, has dropped the browser as the default in its so-called Google Pack software collection in favor of its own shiny new out-of-beta Chrome browser.

The freebie one-download Google Pack includes the Google Toolbar for IE, Spyware Doctor, Picasa, Adobe Reader, Google Earth, Norton Security Scan and Google Photos Screensaver.

Firefox is still available but it's obviously not recommended.
