OPNET Releases Panorama 5.0 with Enhanced Support for Microsoft .NET
New release Couples Panorama's Analytics with Comprehensive .NET Instrumentation and Monitoring Capabilities
Mar. 27, 2008 02:30 PM
OPNET announced the availability of Release 5.0 of OPNET
Panorama, its solution for real-time application monitoring and analytics
across complex, multi-server infrastructures. This latest release extends
Panorama’s deep instrumentation to .NET applications, delivering full
life-cycle application performance management for .NET and Java environments in
a single solution.
Panorama provides real-time performance analysis of complex
applications by monitoring system and application metrics within each server,
across all tiers. Patented deviation tracking and correlation enable Panorama to
spot performance anomalies, pinpointing symptoms that might otherwise go
undetected. Built on OPNET’s mature technology, support for the .NET framework
covers extensive measurement collection, event and metrics correlation, dynamic
threshold alarms and identification of application errors.
OPNET President & CTO, Alain Cohen, stated, “Users
recognize the value Panorama offers during application QA and in production,
including more successful application roll-outs, and significantly faster
resolution of performance problems. This latest release fully extends
Panorama’s capabilities to .NET environments, complementing its
industry-leading support for Java applications, thereby enabling users to effectively
manage more application environments with a single solution.”
Pamela Tsui, Principal Systems Engineer at BAE Systems,
stated, “Panorama has proven itself to be a valuable tool for J2EE application
performance troubleshooting at BAE Systems. We previously used several software
packages to identify patterns and problem areas, which can now be performed
with OPNET’s integrated solution, Panorama 5.0. The level of detail shown by
Panorama 5.0 has given us valuable insight into our J2EE and .NET applications,
which enabled us to resolve significant performance bottlenecks.”
