NYC International Day Brings Entrepreneur Perspectives from Around the World

Brooklyn Borough Hall Hosts

NEW YORK, Aug. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- This year, as part of the yearly conference program, the Transatlantic Entrepreneur Partnership (www.tep.nyintl.net) is hosting the NYC International Day at Brooklyn Borough Hall on the evening of September 4. This discussion on international expansion will begin a dialogue on how to bring the international community closer together and how to enable international startups, chambers of commerce, and consulates to better tap into NYC's resources. At the same time help young New York and Brooklyn-based companies to expand internationally faster.

Stefanie Lemcke, founder of New York International, who will be opening the event and moderating a panel, highlighted the importance of keeping an international dialogue going: "It is important for companies not only to be provided with the resources to start in Brooklyn and NYC, but also to be provided with the partnerships and connections to expand internationally. International Day will focus on both topics, bringing them together into one conversation."

Networking with companies from around the world and keeping a fresh flow of ideas is crucial to keeping industries such as tech and manufacturing vibrant and growing. One of the best ways to do this is by encouraging outside companies to come to Brooklyn and New York and settle there. NYC International Day brings together a variety of speakers to discuss opportunities for cities, with perspectives from the United Nations Secretary General's Envoy on Youth, Ahmad Alhendawi, Albert Wenger, partner at leading NYC VC firm Union Square Ventures, and international startup founders among others.

The aim is to bring the international entrepreneur community closer together, learn what resources are available in New York and hear starting stories of young ventures coming to New York, and start a dialogue about supporting growth in New York and abroad.

Interested parties can register to attend via Eventbrite.
