New US Recruit Supports Swivel Secure’s Aggressive Expansion in the Region

Following its launch into the US in 2012, Swivel Secure, a global leader in multi-factor authentication solutions, has strengthened its profile in the region with the appointment of a Western Regional Sales Director.

Steve Maloney joins Swivel Secure with a proven track record of selling IT security solutions to both enterprise and SMBs around the world. With over 20 years’ experience in the IT sector, most recently gained at Microsoft, Secure Computing (now part of SafeNet) and Tufin Technologies, Steve has the skills set and experience required to drive sales of Swivel’s multi-factor authentication solution.

Within his new role, located at Swivel’s US Head Office in Seattle, Washington, Steve will be responsible for engaging with the company’s existing resellers and recruiting new partners to help drive awareness of the benefits of implementing the Swivel platform to provide secure remote access to business networks, virtual desktops and cloud-based applications.

Fraser Thomas, VP International at Swivel Secure, who heads the company’s US office, comments: “Swivel’s initial launch in the US was in response to market demand for an authentication provider that is capable of securing Microsoft Office365 as well as other cloud and virtual private network remote access solutions. Over the past 12 months we have experienced substantial interest in our solution. We’re delighted to have someone of Steve’s calibre and experience join our team. With a focus on the US West Coast, one of Steve’s key areas of responsibility is to establish relationships with West Coast VPN manufacturers in a bid to drive sales of our white label, multi-factor authentication offering.”

The Swivel authentication platform was first launched in 2003. It is now used by major global enterprises, local government, the NHS and hundreds of smaller businesses, in over 35 countries, to remotely access their business networks, virtual desktops and cloud-based applications. Offering the widest range of user deployment options according to Gartner, the leading IT industry analysts, the Swivel platform offers the choice of mobile apps, SMS and interactive voice response channels when full two-factor authentication is mandatory.
