Hurricane Electric, the world’s largest IPv6-native Internet backbone and leading colocation provider, today announced that it will host its first carrier networking event of the year on Wednesday, March 27 at 6:00 p.m. at its Fremont 2 colocation facility.

At the event, which is co-sponsored by Silicon Valley Web Builder, Skydera founder and CEO Lecole Cole will describe how to establish, scale and maintain a startup in the cloud. Cole’s talk will highlight:

• Initial costs of establishing a cloud presence
• Burn rate over the critical first six months
• Scaling while managing burn rate
• Cost-effective disaster recovery
• Cost-effective high availability
• Minimizing expenditures for reserved assets

The event will also provide an opportunity for attendees to network with carriers in Hurricane Electric’s facility to discuss bandwidth needs and telecommunications trends.
