EarthLink Announces Refinancing Efforts

ATLANTA, Feb. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --  EarthLink, Inc. (NASDAQ:ELNK) ("EarthLink" or the "Company") announced today that it is launching efforts to obtain a new secured credit facility consisting of up to a $300 million term loan and up to a $150 million revolving credit facility (the "New Facility").  The proceeds from borrowings under the New Facility would be used, together with existing cash, to repay the outstanding 10.5% Senior Secured Notes due 2016 of EarthLink's wholly owned subsidiary, ITC^DeltaCom, Inc. ("ITC^DeltaCom"), to replace the Company's existing $150 million revolving credit facility (which has no borrowings outstanding), and to pay related fees and expenses.  

"Credit market conditions are currently favorable and replacing the ITC^DeltaCom notes with the lower-cost new facility will reduce interest expense as well as simplify EarthLink's capital structure," said Rolla P. Huff, EarthLink's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.  Borrowings under the New Facility are expected to be secured by all of the Company's existing and future subsidiaries and collateralized by a lien on substantially all of the Company's and the guarantors' assets.   EarthLink expects the New Facility would contain customary affirmative and negative covenants with which EarthLink would be required to comply.

With the iCloud scandal seemingly in its past, Apple announced new iPhones, updates to iPad and MacBook as well as news on OSX Yosemite.
