DETROIT, Feb. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is released by the Michigan Boating Industries Association:
What: Hundreds of boats up to 47 feet in length on Michigan roads as they head to Cobo Center for the 55th annual Detroit boat Show.
Who: More than 100 exhibitors from all over the state will be bringing all types of boats for wakeboarding, cruising, fishing, and more. All new model boats of all types and sizes and for every budget
When: Move-in starts Monday, February 11-15. The show opens February 16 and runs through the 24th at Cobo Center.
What else?: Exciting promotions at the show include: Trigger Tommy and Trapper Joe from Swamp People, the Battle of Lake Erie Bicentennial Pavilion, Waterwalkerz, 47' Sea Ray "Queen of the Show," Antique & Classic boats, kids clinic, appearances by SpongeBob SquarePants, a free boaters safety course, Meet a Mermaid, the upturn in the boating industry, and much more!

The Detroit Boat Show runs February 16 - 24. Show Hours: Saturdays, Monday and Friday: 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Sundays: 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Admission to the show is $12 for adults, children, 12 and under are free with an adult and seniors over 62 receive free admission on Monday, February 18. Discount tickets, special admission days and promotion schedules are available at www.detroitboatshow.net. Parking is available at Cobo Center and surrounding lots.
