Bath, UK February 2013: Eduserv, a not-for-profit IT services provider to the public sector today announces the launch of its Public Sector Professional Services consultancy suite. The dedicated team has been developed to advise charities and government agencies on how they can best deliver IT services and what the best technologies are to explore, including moving to the cloud.
"We are thrilled to be able to launch this service to the public sector", says Andrew Hawkins, Business Development Director, Eduserv. "The IT sector is changing at such a rapid rate that for many public sector organisations the idea of transforming their IT and the way they work is a very daunting prospect.
"Through our Professional Services suite organisations will be able to identify whether cloud is the right solution for them and if so how best to use it. From there the user would be able to go through the consultation process and assess the risks, overall cost of implementation and the long term benefits of making the investment."
The services within the Professional Services consultancy suite include:
- Business and IT Analysis: IT transformation and migration services - helping you transform your IT to enhance service delivery and safely migrate from legacy infrastructure.
- Moving to the Cloud: - Assessment, design and migration services identifying if cloud is right for you and how to get there if it is.
All of the services can be purchased individually or as a package depending on where the organisation is in the buying cycle and the needs of it users.
Hawkins concludes, "The launch of this suite represents our continued investment in helping the public sector to transform their IT. Our support team of 20 will be on hand to offer advice and their professional opinions to organisations on a case-by-case basis with the sole aim of helping charities and the public sector use IT more effectively."
Through its continued work in the public sector Eduserv has helped the Department of Education reduce their IT costs by 24% and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills rationalise their hosting CMS contracts to save £5 million.
