SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/05/13 -- Spigit, the leading provider of social innovation software, announced today the integration of new ROI-driven collaboration technology for Spigit's social innovation platform. The new features will help Spigit customers increase engagement and innovation internally and outside of the organization for more effective social collaboration. In addition to key ROI features, Spigit announced several new capabilities below which greatly expand on engagement and integration with key partners.
"Generating ROI has always been something of a challenge for social tools in the enterprise, and our investments have all been directed toward changing that," said James Gardner, EVP product and strategy. "Now we have tools that turn chat into action, which has an immediate impact on returns from innovation investment. We believe we are the only social innovation vendor with that kind of capability."
New product features outlined below:
- SpigitEngage, the social innovation platform for the enterprise, now offers a new Challenges 2.0 feature that enables purpose-driven social collaboration on a timeline, and around a specific business need. This allows customers to achieve immediate, visible ROI. A new social voting mechanism, Pairwise, ensures all ideas are considered equally for enhanced discovery and engagement.
- SpigitEngage for Sharepoint is built with native SharePoint web parts and integrates out-of-the-box with existing SharePoint infrastructure. The product now has a new, intuitive user-centric experience for increased engagement and SharePoint innovation activity can also be streamed into a customer's existing Yammer activity feed for a comprehensive solution on the Microsoft platform. Furthermore, customers can now implement leaderboards to better observe the vitality of their innovation communities, and to create a healthy, competitive game dynamic amongst users.
- Icon, the company's free crowdsourcing platform, is getting even more social with the addition of activity streams and status update functionality. The updated version also comes with increased Yammer integration, which includes new items displayed in the main feed and activity ticker. Icon is the leading Featured app in the Yammer App Directory and is used by thousands of organizations to crowdsource answers that help drive better business decisions.
Spigit's most recent product updates come on the heels of a momentous year. In 2012, the company earned recognition as the #1 fastest growing private software company in California by the Inc. 500/5000 and was awarded by the Stevie International Business Awards for Best Product of the Year for Icon.
