SessionCam Shortens Time to Track Using Ensighten's Tag Management Technology

With SessionCam support now integrated into Ensighten's real-time, cloud-based tag management system, digital marketers can quickly deploy SessionCam's session replay technology to gain rich insights into every visitor's journey and behaviour on a website

LONDON, Jan. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Ensighten, innovator of Real-Time™ Tag Management Systems and visitor privacy solutions that optimise digital marketing performance, has signed a technology partnership with SessionCam, a developer of Visible Web Analytics technology that enables website visitor session analysis. Located in Norwich, England, SessionCam's client list includes Aviva, Best Western, Lloyds TSB, and StartRite. The two companies recently collaborated on mutual customer RAC.

SessionCam addresses a critical need of many digital marketers: gaining an accurate understanding of visitor flow across a website's many pages. SessionCam's SessionReplay technology records which web pages an online customer visits, along with each scroll, click and keyboard entry, so that marketers can subsequently replay the visit and uncover ways to improve overall customer experience, identify bugs, optimise website design, and ensure products are merchandised to boost visitor engagement. Armed with SessionCam's detailed analytic reporting and other tools, marketers can reduce cart abandonment and boost conversions.

Adding SessionCam to a publishing or e-commerce website is now much easier. Support for SessionCam's unique JavaScript tags is now built into Ensighten's cloud-based tag network, so SessionCam support on any web page is now enabled through Ensighten's console, rather than by manually adding a SessionCam universal tag to each page. With a few clicks, website managers can now use Ensighten to automatically deploy a SessionCam tag, along with dozens of other tags that control website functionality, throughout an entire website. When a visitor's browser encounters Ensighten's master tag on any page, the Ensighten system determines, in real time, which tags to trigger and in which sequence. And by separating website content from tags, Ensighten accelerates page load times, ensuring the website feels responsive to visitors.

"We recommend all our clients install a tag management system, and Ensighten's technology offers unique benefits because it uses a single line of code and an intelligent, cloud-based tag delivery network that minimizes what is sent to a visitor's browser," said Richard Churchill, chief technology officer at SessionCam. "We feel certain than many Ensighten users will find our technology extremely useful, so ensuring a tight integration between our technologies will unlock new business for us."

"We're delighted to welcome SessionCam as a technology partner," said Adrian James, managing director of Ensighten EMEA. "The features SessionCam offers, which include advanced analytics, behavioural activity heatmaps, and visitor drop-off reports, have useful applications for many Ensighten customers."

As an Ensighten partner, SessionCam has joined Ensighten Connect, giving it access to a framework of benefits and services that give it access to best practices for tag management and as well as co-marketing opportunities.

Tags are crucial features of today's e-commerce landscape

Tags are snippets of JavaScript code added to e-commerce websites that trigger essential third-party digital marketing services such as Web analytics, online ad display and re-targeting, and content optimization. As tags proliferate across hundreds of pages, marketers that manage tags manually have to rely on IT resources, which impedes their marketing agility. Ensighten's Real-Time™ Tag Management platform decouples the marketing cycle from the website development cycle, making it easy for marketers to take control of the operation and measurement of their digital marketing campaigns and better optimize them for specific marketing goals.

How do APIs and IoT relate? The answer is not as simple as merely adding an API on top of a dumb device, but rather about understanding the architectural patterns for implementing an IoT fabric. There are typically two or three trends: Exposing the device to a management framework Exposing that management framework to a business centric logic Exposing that business layer and data to end users. This last trend is the IoT stack, which involves a new shift in the separation of what stuff happens, where data lives and where the interface lies. For instance, it's a mix of architectural styles ...
Almost everyone sees the potential of Internet of Things but how can businesses truly unlock that potential. The key will be in the ability to discover business insight in the midst of an ocean of Big Data generated from billions of embedded devices via Systems of Discover. Businesses will also need to ensure that they can sustain that insight by leveraging the cloud for global reach, scale and elasticity.
The Industrial Internet revolution is now underway, enabled by connected machines and billions of devices that communicate and collaborate. The massive amounts of Big Data requiring real-time analysis is flooding legacy IT systems and giving way to cloud environments that can handle the unpredictable workloads. Yet many barriers remain until we can fully realize the opportunities and benefits from the convergence of machines and devices with Big Data and the cloud, including interoperability, data security and privacy.
The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to evolve the way the world does business; however, understanding how to apply it to your company can be a mystery. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Jesse Shiah, CEO / President / Co-Founder of AgilePoint Inc., showed what is needed to leverage the IoT to transform your business. He discussed opportunities and challenges ahead for the IoT from a market and technical point of vie...

The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly in the process of breaking from its heretofore relatively obscure enterprise applications (such as plant floor control and supply chain management) and going mainstream into the consumer space. More and more creative folks are interconnecting everyday products such as household items, mobile devices, appliances and cars, and unleashing new and imaginative scenarios. We are seeing a lot of excitement around applications in home automation, personal fitness, and in-car entertainment and this excitement will bleed into other areas. On the commercial side, m...
"People are a lot more knowledgeable about APIs now. There are two types of people who work with APIs - IT people who want to use APIs for something internal and the product managers who want to do something outside APIs for people to connect to them," explained Roberto Medrano, Executive Vice President at SOA Software, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at Cloud Expo, held Nov 4–6, 2014, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
An entirely new security model is needed for the Internet of Things, or is it? Can we save some old and tested controls for this new and different environment? In his session at @ThingsExpo, New York's at the Javits Center, Davi Ottenheimer, EMC Senior Director of Trust, reviewed hands-on lessons with IoT devices and reveal a new risk balance you might not expect. Davi Ottenheimer, EMC Senior Director of Trust, has more than nineteen years' experience managing global security operations and assessments, including a decade of leading incident response and digital forensics.
