harmon.ie®, the platform-independent social software company, today announced record financial results for the year ending December 31, 2012 with 71% year-over-year sales growth for its social software for the enterprise. harmon.ie optimizes the use of enterprise collaboration platforms, such as Microsoft® SharePoint®, IBM Connections and Google Docs™, by bringing them into the email client, mobile devices and the cloud.
More than 200 enterprises, including Citi, DuPont and BAE Systems, purchased harmon.ie for the enterprise in 2012, in order to help their business users improve productivity on the platforms they already own, such as SharePoint from their email client, iPads and iPhones.
“harmon.ie has a social business vision which is platform-independent across Microsoft, IBM and Google platforms,” said Yaacov Cohen, co-founder and social CEO of harmon.ie. “This new approach is already delivering unprecedented business flexibility to enterprises as they can pick and choose collaboration offerings from different vendors, yet deliver a consistent user experience across these competing platforms. Our stellar annual results represent a strong validation of our corporate vision.”
As of the end of 2012, 1.3 million enterprise users have subscribed to the harmon.ie social business vision and access SharePoint and Google Docs from Outlook, Notes, iPhones and iPads.
Additional Key Achievements
Along with strong sales results, harmon.ie continued to execute in a variety of important areas during the year. Key achievements included the following:
- Gartner, Inc. selected harmon.ie as a “Cool Vendor in Social Software and Collaboration, 2012.”1 Selected vendors are “innovative players in the collaboration and social software space, emerging to address specific gaps in offerings from the more established vendors.” Gartner also singled out harmon.ie as an ecosystem partner that helps plug gaps in SharePoint, by providing mobile access and preventing vendor lock-in.2
- In late 2012, harmon.ie announced harmon.ie Connect, a new generation of anywhere, anytime SharePoint products. In the two months since its release, harmon.ie sold 50,000 mobile licenses, illustrating the demand for mobile collaboration.
- SD Times named harmon.ie a “company to watch” as an innovator whose technology for social document sharing is emerging, impactful and growing in influence.
“We see enormous potential for 2013,” continued Cohen. “Driven by the explosive market need for mobile access to enterprise business systems like SharePoint, harmon.ie Connect fills a huge gap in the ability of businesses to provide their workforce with the tools they need to be productive. By making document and social information available wherever people work, harmon.ie vastly improves the collaboration experience and makes it accessible to typical business users.”
