Global business literally runs on Microsoft Office, and the newest iteration of the software giant’s productivity suite is especially cloud-friendly. That’s welcome news for organizations that rely on Infinitely Virtual, a leading provider of virtual server cloud computing services.
Infinitely Virtual today unveiled its hosted implementation of Microsoft Office 2013 and announced user pricing for the product family – unchanged from the Microsoft Office 2010 suite and its various components.
Individual per-month pricing for Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 is $15.99; Microsoft Office Standard 2013 is $13.99; Microsoft Word, Access and Excel are $6.19 each; Microsoft Publisher is $4.39; and Microsoft Outlook is $2.69.
Microsoft Office 2013 features enhanced enterprise-grade security, side-by-side support for previous versions of Office, streamlined update experiences, and IT controls that enable organization to manage Office on their terms and with their tools and processes.
“With Office 2013’s embrace of cloud computing, Microsoft is rightly touting the suite’s ability to deliver productivity on demand,” said Adam Stern, Infinitely Virtual CEO. “Now more than ever, Office recognizes the way individuals and organizations work in a hosted environment. We’re pleased to be able to hold the line on pricing and to continue our policy of offering Office modules on an ala carte basis. It’s all part of our broader mission to make migration to the cloud as effortless and cost-effective as we can.”
Among the highlights of Microsoft Office 2013:
- Easier deployment. The newest version of Office was built from the ground up to be the easiest version ever to deploy. Office is designed so current add-ins and customizations operate seamlessly. Powerful new Office telemetry tools inspect file and application compatibility, and optimized provisioning allows IT to quickly deploy broadly without uninstalling existing Office applications.
- Designed for the cloud. Businesses can use existing IT tools and processes for delivering software, so there’s no need to change management infrastructure before installing. Automation and Group Policy management tools give users full control over how Office is installed and configured.
- New telemetry tools for centralized performance monitoring. New Office telemetry tools give IT more power to monitor the health and performance of Office across the organization and support users as they migrate from earlier versions of Office. Proactive controls help ensure that Office performs at peak levels to keep users productive.
- Keeping data even more secure. Enhanced security and multifactor authentication protects files, devices, and individuals, letting users easily access the information they need while meeting security and compliance requirements.
Last year, Infinitely Virtual unbundled its hosted, licensed Microsoft Office suite products, to enable customers to choose those products they need, at a per-product price. Bundled products often require businesses to buy more than they need, in order to obtain the one or two applications they really want. That’s why Microsoft Office Suite products are available a la carte – and businesses have the opportunity to save more than 40 percent by choosing a single product rather than a full suite.
Customers can choose from Microsoft Excel, Access, Publisher or Outlook as “menu” items, creating a package that precisely fits their needs. For additional details on Microsoft Office 2013, visit www.infinitelyvirtual.com.
