London, 16 January 2013: Exterity, the leading provider of IPTV communication solutions, today announces that it will be attending Integrated Systems Europe 2013 (ISE 2013) in Amsterdam this January (Stand D72 in Hall 11). Fully integrated, reliable, secure and flexible IPTV systems will form a central theme of the Exterity showcase at ISE. The company will demonstrate its extensive range of market-leading products, including upgraded products on show for the first time, with enhancements that reinforce the scalability, protection and continuity features of an IPTV system.
Solutions enhanced for security and reliability
Exterity will illustrate this via the demonstration of a live fully functioning end to end IPTV system, which will educate visitors on where its latest products sit on an IP network, from head end through to server. At the core of the demonstration will be examples of how each individual product within the Avedia product families function and how they come together to form a comprehensive solution for organisations to create, play and control their video content. Through demonstrations, presented daily once every half an hour by Colin Farquhar, CEO, Mike Allan, CTO, Dave Allan, Product Manager and Gordon Moore, Senior Support Engineer, Exterity will demonstrate to visitors how its advanced network of products can be replicated within their own businesses.
Following on from the announcement at last year's IBC that Exterity had become an authorised reseller of SecureMedia solutions, the company will be highlighting the content protection features of its current product range including demonstrations of the granular control over channel access enabled by its AvediaStream e2310 and e2320 Encoders.

Another focus will be on reliability and redundancy, with a demonstration of what happens when a TVgateway or Encoder is pulled out of an Exterity chassis. This will be especially useful for organisations where the IPTV system is business critical or revenue generating, and want to observe how disruption can be minimised to both end users and systems administrators.
The AvediaStream c1110 monitor blade features twenty external LEDs providing an immediate visual indication of the status of each of the blade slots, fans and power supplies of the chassis, highlighting any problems before actual failure. The monitor blade will be able to communicate changes to the AvediaStream c1110 over the network protocol SNMP to allow SNMP management tools such as Exterity AvediaServer Director to inform administrators of the system status. The monitor blade is able to remotely power up and power down individual AvediaStream gateway or encoder modules in the chassis, reducing power consumption when, for example, the chassis contains redundant modules for any failover requirements an installation might require.
