Cauley Ferrari is thrilled to announce once again their renewed sponsorship of the No. 69 AIM Autosport Team FXDD RACING WITH FERRARI 458 Italia for the 2013 running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. AIM Autosport is entering this season's opening race as the defending 2012 GRAND-AM Rolex Series GT Class Champions. This 24 hour race is a true testament to the strength of the car, drivers, and team, and is an amazing way to start 2013. Team co-owner and lead engineer Ian Willis commented, "It's great to have Cauley Ferrari back on board for 2013, and after a productive test at the Roar before the 24 I am looking forward to continuing our 2012 championship performance into the 2013 Rolex 24."
The No. 69 Ferrari 458 Italia GT GRAND-AM will be piloted by four drivers at Daytona consisting of Emil Assentato, Anthony Lazzaro, Nick Longhi, & Guy Cosmo. Emil, who is a 2010 & 2012 GT championship winning driver, along with his three teammates are sure to put up a strong fight and have very good odds of ending up in victory lane.
The 2013 running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona will begin on Saturday January 26th at 3:30pm and conclude 24 hours later on Sunday January 27th. Race coverage will be live on SPEED Channel from 3pm -11pm on 1/26 and 9am-4pm on 1/27. The night-time running from 11pm-9am will be streaming live on www.speed.com.
Cauley Ferrari owner, Jeff Cauley, was very pleased with the relationship built up with the AIM Autosport Team in 2012 and is excited to continue it in 2013. Cauley also stated that they will be sponsoring the car again later in the season at their local race, the Detroit Grand Prix at Belle Isle Park held on June 1st, 2013.
