NEW YORK, Jan. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael J. Van De Loo was promoted to Managing Director for WTAS Greenwich after seven years of service in the Private Client Services Practice. Prior to joining WTAS, Van De Loo spent eight years working in an international professional services firm and held senior positions in the family offices at a major New York hedge fund and investment bank.

Van De Loo has over 15 years of experience in providing tax consulting and compliance services to high net worth individuals and families and serves clients in both New York and Greenwich. His practice focuses on income, estate and gift, fiduciary and wealth transfer tax areas. Mike has extensive experience in helping high net worth individuals address complex tax matters with respect to compliance and planning opportunities.

Van De Loo also services the fiduciary and estate tax consulting and compliance needs of both corporate and private trustees and individual beneficiaries. He was a contributing author to the Tax Economics of Charitable Giving, 14th Edition. Van De Loo currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, New York and the Children's Rehabilitation Center in White Plains, New York.
The New York office also announced two new Director promotions: James O'Brien and Naman Trivedi. O'Brien is an integral member of WTAS' Private Client Services Practice. He has over six years of experience in the tax industry, with a strong base of knowledge in areas including individual, fiduciary, estate and gift taxation. Trivedi is a member of WTAS' Finance Group. His national role includes financial statement preparation, internal controls and membership on the Finance Leadership Committee.
Other promotions in New York include Senior Managers: Christopher Carreira, Dion Demetropoulos, Eleni Sakkos, Carolina Strobino; and Senior Associate Joyce Huang.
