WILKES-BARRE, Pa., Jan. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Scent-Sations, Inc., creator of Mia Bella's Gourmet Candles has announced a new Limited Edition candle to benefit the families and survivors of the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting Friday, December 14, 2012.
Starting Thursday, December 20, 2012 this new candle, "In Memory Of" began selling on thousands of independent distributor web sites throughout the United States and Canada. All proceeds will be donated to charities that have been set up to help the victims and their families.
Long known for its commitment to primarily childrens' charities, Scent-Sations has donated tens of thousands of dollars over the past decade to Make A Wish Foundation, Children's Miracle Network, Susan G. Komen For The Cure, and dozens of military charities and families.
Scent-Sations, Inc. CEO Bob Scocozzo, one of the company's owners had this to say:
"My 18 year old daughter, Mia asked me what we were going to do to help since she knows how much we have helped kids in the past. I told her we would take massive action quickly, and that I was confident that our national and international distributor force as well as our customers would step up to help make a difference."
This Limited Edition "In Memory Of" 16oz jar candle features white wax, a Spring floral fragrance, and special label showing the silhouettes of a boy and girl, holding hands with arms outstretched with a sunset in the background. The tagline, "A brief time in our arms...Forever in our hearts" is a powerful reminder of just how fragile life can be.
Candles may be purchased online from www.miabella.net or from any one of thousands of independent distributor web sites for $24.95 plus a flat $5.95 (US) or $9.95 (Canada) shipping charge regardless of quantity ordered. All proceeds, or approximately $20 from the sale of each candle will be donated towards the relief efforts to help those affected.
