BOULDER, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/13/12 -- SendGrid, the leader in email deliverability, today announced integrations with leading mobile-backend-as-a-service (MBaaS) platforms Windows Azure Mobile Services, StackMob and Parse. Building on SendGrid's cloud-based transactional email infrastructure platform, SendGrid provides developers with a simple and easy way to add transactional email capabilities to their mobile applications. SendGrid now powers mobile transactional email for some of the world's largest mobile applications, including Uber, Pinterest, foursquare and Spotify.
SendGrid's MBaaS integrations are part of its ongoing strategy to make its service broadly available, easy to access and simple to deploy, regardless of what cloud services development teams are building with. Mobile developers are increasingly looking to MBaaS platforms to quickly access and integrate core functionality including the ability to send transactional email, to reduce development time and complexity. Comprised of account registrations, password resets, friend or follower requests, purchase confirmations or any user-generated notification, transactional email is widely regarded as the most effective form of engaging and retaining customers.
SendGrid's integrations with Windows Azure Mobile Services, StackMob and Parse relieve mobile development teams of the cost and complexity of transactional email management. Developers are freed to build great mobile apps without worrying about email delivery rates, spam folders, ISP blacklists or scaling to meet high user volume.
To date, SendGrid has delivered more than 75 billion emails and averages 140,000 emails sent per minute for its customers. SendGrid's rapid growth is in part due to the several integrations it has established with market-leading cloud services platforms since its launch in 2009. Current SendGrid partnerships or integrations include Rackspace, Softlayer, HP Cloud Services, Microsoft Azure, Heroku, Engine Yard, Cloudbees, Standing Cloud, AppHarbor, Stackmob, Parse and Microsoft Azure Mobile Services.
"SendGrid has long been on the forefront of introducing new services and products ahead of the market demand curve, and today's integrations with leading MBaaS providers is no different," said Jim Franklin, CEO, SendGrid. "MBaaS is quickly replacing the traditional server-side stack as a dependable, feature-rich option for powering mobile applications. Our integrations with recognized mobile app development leaders Windows Azure Mobile Services, StackMob and Parse, as well as our established relationships with the broader cloud services ecosystem, are important steps in making SendGrid available to developers everywhere."
