TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/11/12 -- OMERS Ventures, the venture capital investment arm of the OMERS pension plan, announces David Crow is joining its team as Evangelist in Residence. In this role Mr. Crow will advocate OMERS Ventures within the technology community. He will also help run OMERS Ventures programs and initiatives and participate in technical and business due diligence.

His significant experience with growth technology companies and his passion for great products and ideas will be of huge value to OMERS Ventures," said John Ruffolo, CEO of OMERS Ventures.
David's many accomplishments include co-founding and acting as editor and community animator for venture capital blog and information resource StartupNorth.ca. He currently serves on the board of Lymbix, and is an advisor to Hacker You, Bunch, PrintChomp and TribeHR. In 2008, David was voted by his peers in a blogTO survey as Toronto's Best Web and Tech Evangelist.
Prior to joining OMERS Ventures, David has held roles in product development and more recently in marketing & business development. He has extensive experience working with growth technology companies to acquire early customers, refine product designs and search for a scalable business model.
He holds a Master's degree, Human-Computer Interaction from the School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo.
