Hortonworks Executive to Deliver Keynote Addresses at SQL Server Live! Conference and Big Analytics 2012 Roadshow

Hortonworks, a leading commercial vendor promoting the innovation, development and support of Apache Hadoop, today announced that Director of Product Marketing Jim Walker will deliver two keynote presentations about the integral role of Apache Hadoop in the world of big data at key industry events.

At the SQL Server Live! conference, being held December 10 - 14 in Orlando, Walker will explore the hype surrounding big data, addressing specifically what is real and how it affects the status quo. His keynote will also focus on Apache Hadoop—the next-generation enterprise data platform at the epicenter of the big data discussion. Walker will explain how the Microsoft-Hortonworks partnership bridges the new world of unstructured content with the structured data managed today and brings Hadoop to the masses as an addition to current enterprise data architectures.

At the sold-out Big Analytics 2012 Roadshow in New York on December 12, Walker will present on Apache Hadoop’s role in big data architecture, outlining the emergence of big data, the opportunities for deriving business value and the essential components required in a Hadoop-powered platform.
