Canto, maker of Canto Cumulus digital asset management (DAM) software, today announced that the latest release of Cumulus (8.6.1) is compatible with Microsoft Windows 8 and Apple’s Mountain Lion operating system. With the release of Cumulus 8.6.1, Canto underlines its commitment to continuously augment its software with a comprehensive feature set that is at the forefront of technology.
“We work hard to update Cumulus to ensure it works seamlessly with the latest technology developments,” commented Ulrich Knocke, ceo of Canto. “In this case Windows 8 and Mountain Lion were highly anticipated operating systems that many customers were anxious to deploy,” he added.
Windows 8 introduces significant changes to the operating system's platform, primarily focused on improving its user experience with mobile devices such as tablets to rival other mobile operating systems.
OS X Mountain Lion brings Apple’s mobile and desktop operating systems closer together so that the iPad, iPhone and Mac will work together more smoothly. Documents, notes, calendars, messages, reminders, Safari tabs and more can sync across devices better.
