American Industrial Systems Inc. (AIS) is an ISO 9001:2008 certified supplier and manufacturer of low cost Power over Ethernet (PoE) thin client touchscreen operator interface terminals for Human Machine Interface (HMI) that require inexpensive, faster, better performance and functionality of machine-level interface in industrial automation and the process control industry. AIS’ new 7” and 10” PoE HMI thin clients combine touchscreen interface, power, speed, and low energy consumption with flexibility to support any thin client architecture.
The PoE technology features a system that safely transfers electrical power, along with data, to remote devices over standard category 5 cable in an Ethernet network. It does not require modification of existing Ethernet cabling infrastructure, so deployment is simplified. The AIS panel and wall mount touch screen thin clients offer a cost effective solution by bringing power and data transfer via a standard twisted pair Ethernet cabling in a network for faster time to market. PoE is also ideal for building automation, as well as interactive scheduling systems in hotels, government and hospitals.
Low Power and Thermally Efficient
The AIS industrial thin client PoE touchscreen operator interfaces are designed with Intel Atom Processor Z510 (512K Cache, 1.10 GHz, 400 MHz FSB), low power consumption with max. TDP 2W, rich I/O portfolio, ruggedized front bezel, IP 54 and IP65 protection class ratings and high shock and vibration resistance components engineered to withstand harsh factory and environmental conditions. The 7” and 10.1” HMI thin clients are value products that are cost effective choices especially for limited budgets.
Enterprise Connectivity, SWaP and C4I
AIS industrial HMI thin client powered by Microsoft Windows Embedded standard operating systems promote economic deployment of HMI solutions in manufacturing environments. Industrial HMI thin clients feature visual computing interfaces with the performance and reliability for industrial automation and control systems. The dynamic visualization of AIS HMI thin clients also provide stable real time operating system support, increased processing performance and a wide range of network and communication interfaces, along with reduced size, weight and power (SWaP), enhanced command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I)design.
Network Efficiency
AIS industrial HMI thin clients easily integrate into existing Ethernet and TCP/ IP installations which engineers use in monitoring and controlling mission critical processes, thereby allowing operators to see desktop quality graphics and real time updates of processes in a web browser from anywhere in the world. By gaining timely access to key performance indicators (KPI), decision makers are able to make business decisions from real time information. Information convergence between manufacturing and business systems within an enterprise allows greater business agility and opportunities for innovation.
Partners Ecosystem Pre-tested Hardware and Software
AIS easy to use HMI thin clients have been pre-tested and pre-configured for high availability, high performance, manageability, and security appropriate for workload running on complete supervisory control, process monitoring and operator interface software.
