DALLAS, Nov. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Behringer Harvard announced today that Mr. Casey Herren has joined the firm as Institutional Sales Director – Western Region. He is responsible for developing institutional channel distribution strategies for Behringer Harvard's existing and expanding product portfolio, including sales of alternative and direct investments in the western states. Mr. Michael Davis, who joined Behringer Harvard in June 2012, continues to manage institutional channel distribution in the eastern states.

Mr. Herren has more than 10 years of experience in managing and servicing investment relationships, new business development, and strategic marketing. Most recently, he was Director of Business Development at Dallas-based Highland Capital Management LP, a credit hedge fund. From 2009 to 2011, he was Institutional Marketing Director for Vaughan Nelson Investment Management in Houston. At Atlantic Investment Management in New York, he held a similar position from 2007 to 2008. He began his career as Vice President of Institutional Marketing with Lazard Asset Management in New York from 2001 to 2007. Mr. Herren has a BBA with a concentration in finance from Texas A&M University.
