Last month, when Hurricane Sandy flooded several lower Manhattan data centers, venerable news groups such as the The Huffington Post, Buzz Feed and Gawker, were down for hours.

In areas like Santa Clara, CA, which has a 99.69% chance of a major earthquake within the next 50 years, mitigation for data centers is a much discussed topic.

That’s one of the reasons why “The 3^rd Forum on Financing, Investing and Real Estate Development for Data Centers,” sponsored by the Information Management Network, will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Santa Clara on November 29^th-30^th 2012.
