White Paper help organisations understand how to turn compliance with Singapore's new data protection legislation into a clear business advantage
Singapore, Nov 22, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - Go React, Asia's largest independent digital relationship-marketing agency, today released its white paper "The Principles of Trust: Turning Singapore's new personal data protection laws into business drivers."
In the white paper, Go React examines the opportunities presented by Singapore new personal data protection act (PDPA), which was passed in October and is slated to become law by January 2013. The content of the paper explains how organisations can use compliance as the foundation upon which to build a dynamic data strategy, which will deliver positive business results.
According to Go React CEO Paul Hourihane, the purpose of the white paper is to help marketing leaders in any organisation. "With the amount of data created today reaching incomprehensibly huge volumes and velocities, the challenge of complying with the new Personal Data Protection Act may seem business limiting rather than accelerating," he said. "Yet, the new PDPA provides a not-to-be-missed opportunity for Singapore organisations to raise their data game."
Mr Hourihane added that the new legislation represents a value-add business driver that will not only benefit individual organisations but also strengthen Singapore's position as a trusted hub for business.
The nine-page document includes sections on the Personal Data Protection Act: Singapore's new laws; Tackling the Big Data Challenge; Keeping it Relevant; Compliance: The Marketing Opportunities and Get Clean, Stay Clean.
"Smart companies will use the compliance window to accelerate their adoption of a much more relevant, transparent and sustainable use of data," explained Mr Hourihane. "This will form the principles of trust between successful brands and their customers, a bond that will lead to more positive engagement and extraordinary business value for the companies who get it right."
The paper is the result of the agency's more than 10 years of experience developing data management initiatives for its clients that focus on building and maintaining strategic, results-driven customer relationships. Its clients include Microsoft, Brocade, EMC, Central Provident Fund, Spring, Polycom AV, and Fujitsu.
Based in Singapore, the agency has always focused on invitation rather than intrusion, optimising data use to create insights, engage customers and build relationships for the companies around the region who use its proprietary tools and digital marketing services.
Today's release is available for download on the agency's website and its Linked-in page: http://go-react.com/pages/whitepaper.asp
