COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/20/12 -- Alert Management Systems (Alert), a leading supplier of Windows-based rental management software, just concluded one of its most successful and well-attended IAUA (User Group) Conferences ever. The event spanned three days at the Antlers Hilton Hotel in downtown Colorado Springs, November 8-10, 2012. Over 100 stores were represented, mostly by the owners themselves, who enjoyed 22 scheduled activities, including roundtable sessions, training classes and 'hands-on' opportunities.
In addition to three Advisory Council meetings by market type (party, general tool, and heavy equipment), the owners were also able to vote on new features and improvements for the next annual revision of Alert EasyPro.
Attendees were also treated to a sneak preview of its latest new revision (V15), scheduled for release in March 2013, and 11 new "optional" software products that are now ready for beta testing or were already released since last year's conference.
The new options include a suite of mobility products, including Mobile Inventory Manager and Sign&Rent, which provide paperless (tablet or smart phone-based) solutions for inventory control and signature capture.
New features for kits (Dynamic Kit Pricing) and for specialized rate management (Group Rental Rates) introduce a new level of pricing agility for companies who need to maximize their competitiveness throughout their product lines.
By far the most popular new product was Alert's new 'next generation' system for dispatch management. Dispatcher Dashboard was a delight to both party and tool rental companies for its innovative and intuitive approach to delivery and contract management, maximizing the use of features like 'Drag 'n Drop' and graphical pictures and symbols to make it easy to assign routes, contracts, and staff to your truck fleet. An optional component, Dispatch to GPS, sends routes to truck-based GPS equipment and enables two-way communication and progress reporting.
