Nexant, Inc. announced today that it has established an exclusive China-focused partnership with Chem1, a leading local consulting firm. For a number of years, Nexant has been providing insight and advice to its global clients on petrochemical developments and opportunities in China and, by teaming with Chem1, the company effectively expands its operating base in the world’s second largest economy.
“We are delighted to partner with Chem1 as we look to enhance our China-focused support to our clients—both in China and around the world,” said Dr. Andrew Spiers, Nexant Senior Vice President (Asia). “We have had a presence in Shanghai for over four years working on a wide range of energy and chemicals projects but this new partnership gives us a solid footing in Beijing, which considerably strengthens our ability to deliver services throughout the country. Chem1’s experience augments our own expertise in conducting research on China’s petrochemical industry—enabling us to support Chinese clients seeking to expand their businesses both domestically and overseas. As always, we remain firmly committed to providing all of our clients with the highest quality strategic consulting services designed to help them develop and expand their businesses and maximize their returns on investment.”
“Chem1 is very excited to partner with Nexant and to work alongside the team of experts from such a renowned global consulting company,” said Frank Ye, Managing Partner of Chem1 group. “Chem1 believes that this partnership will bring about positive synergies by leveraging the combined strengths of both companies, which will ultimately help to serve the best interests of clients in all locations.”
Nexant’s Asian consulting operations have grown rapidly over the last five years, and the company is focused on developing local partnerships in all key markets throughout the region. In addition to its consulting hub in Bangkok, Nexant now delivers a full suite of oil, gas, petrochemical, and clean energy offerings from offices in Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Seoul, and Tokyo.
