This Teradata award recognizes systems integrators who have developed innovative industry-specific or cross-industry solution to address a distinct business need.
"As a result of IGC, the effectiveness and efficiency of our supply chain has increased," said Lieutenant Colonel Rod Aleandre, IGC Program Manager. "With the growing, recurring sustainment costs of multiple legacy systems, there was a real need for a single program of record for In-Transit Visibility data resulting in substantial amount of cost savings and accelerated information exchange, leading to improved warfighter readiness."
IGC provides its end users the capability to track "assets in motion" with "end to end" supply chain visibility. With five years of historical data vice 180 days in the legacy system, users can perform predictive data analytics. This is a powerful decision support tool enabling supply chain optimization and cost savings.
"IGC provides a robust means for tracking supplies and leverages the host of tools and enterprise services needed to improve the existing process," said Angie Heise, vice president of Enterprise IT Solutions with Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Solutions-Defense. "We strive to consistently produce systems and solutions that enable our customers to convert their information into faster action, higher value and accomplished missions."
Lockheed Martin's IGC production team includes Teradata, SAIC, Deloitte, SAP, DNC, Onyx Consulting, Oakland Technologies, Rainbow Data Systems, and Innolog.
Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs about 120,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. The corporation's net sales for 2011 were $46.5 billion.
