The Voice Library (www.thevoicelibrary.net), a service which allows subscribers to record, preserve and archive audio recordings, via telephone or computer microphone - safely and securely – is gaining momentum in attracting new subscribers following the launch of a new corporate site, which has raised consumer awareness about the ease and product application across a myriad of market segments. Founded three years ago in Exeter, NH, The Voice Library has formulated partnerships with: Veterans Inc ( mentoring and inspiration); Tributes.com (online obituary); Wiggin Memorial Library (community voices- story project); Home Instead Senior Care of NH (caregiver and Alzheimer’s activities); Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc- NH Chapter ( honor/ remember); LANES - The League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling (universal access and archive capabilities).
The Voice Library, via an introductory Voice Library subscription of $50.00, allows subscribers five hours of recording/listening time; five years of accessible archives; the ability to add additional time and storage as needed; and ability to share with anyone the subscriber chooses. Subscribers can also upload MP3’s. Accessibility to store and hear audio recordings can be done any time of day and any where a subscriber or listener has access to a telephone or computer microphone. Subscriptions to The Voice Library can be initiated online (www.TheVoiceLibrary.net) or via customer service at 888-9-HEAR-ME.
Subscribers have the ability to pick and choose what stories/messages are of priority to them. The use and application of The Voice Library is as expansive as the subscriber’s imagination. The Voice Library is ideal for individual use or for large organizations. Currently, subscribers to The Voice Library are using the service to: audio record family stories and history; audio journals; care giver activity; documenting life’s great events/milestones; promote dialogue among veterans groups; communication tool for civic and alumni organizations; storytelling projects for children’s service organizations; and legal applications – Ethical wills.
According to The Voice Library Founder and President, Al Brandano, the ease and application of using this service is allowing consumers to store, preserve and archive valuable audio messages with ease – any time/any place – before the opportunity is lost. “Unlike video, audio much like music, directly stimulates the central part of the brain – the pleasure center for emotion, creativity and voice recognition. Your voice becomes the brush, your subject is the story, and the canvas is your imagination. The Voice Library is in essence a Verbal Family™ Tree. A time machine offering one or many a generational Passport to the past, present, and future,” said Brandano.
"The Voice Library goes heart to heart by recording stories, sharing stories and listening to stories. In our digital world we still yearn for our human connections. There is nothing more human, nothing more touching, than a sweet, sweet voice sharing a tale. With The Voice Library a story from Mom, or Judith Black or your crazy Uncle Charlie, is only a phone call away. The League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling (LANES) is proud partner with The Voice Library to make stories accessible in our fast paced world. Life moves at the speed of story. The Voice Library is leading the way." Tony Toledo, President LANES.org
