Evolve IP, The Cloud Services Company™, today announced that The Palm Restaurant Group is using Evolve IP’s award-winning cloud platform for business continuity and unified communications. The Palm is using Evolve IP’s unified cloud infrastructure to replace its wide area network (WAN), update its legacy PBX phone system, and manage security at 25 restaurants. In addition, The Palm Restaurant Group is backing up its data off-site in the Evolve IP cloud.
With the roll out to its restaurants and headquarters completed, The Palm has gained real business continuity, a critical element to successfully running its highly rated restaurants. “For the first time in years, I don’t have to worry about faulty systems, or worse, systems going down and our provider being unreachable,” says Kelly McCardle, IT Director at The Palm Restaurant Group. “The real test came recently when our area was hit with a bout of severe weather. The storms knocked out power all around us, but we stayed open and operational the entire time. That’s when we knew we made the right decision to go with Evolve IP.”
“Fine dining establishments, such as The Palm, provide superior customer service, and to ensure they meet their customers’ expectations, their critical communications systems must not only be available, they must work flawlessly,” says Tim Allen, Chief Sales Officer at Evolve IP. “We’re thrilled to be providing The Palm with not only the best cloud services available, but with the same kind of service it provides to its customers.”
Prior to using Evolve IP, The Palm Restaurant Group struggled to manage multiple carriers, phone systems, and vendors. It also relied on costly premise-based hardware and software to meet its unified communications and file management needs. With the switch to Evolve IP, The Palm Restaurant Group now has a single point of contact and is also enjoying significant cost savings. In fact, The Palm Restaurant Group deployed Evolve IP’s HPBX solutions for about the same price it was paying for just T1 lines for its legacy on-premise systems.
The Palm Restaurant Group is a fine dining destination for friends, families, and business colleagues in the U.S., London, and Mexico. Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi opened The Palm’s flagship restaurant, The Palm One, in 1926 in New York City. This restaurant is recognized as the oldest restaurant in New York City still owned and operated by the same family. Today, the group is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and serves over 5,000 meals a day at 27 locations.
