Pengrowth Energy Corporation Commits $55 Million to Move Lindbergh Project Forward

CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/05/12 -- Pengrowth Energy Corporation (TSX:PGF) (NYSE:PGH) is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has approved a commitment of $55 million for critical path related, long lead time equipment for the Lindbergh thermal bitumen project. Approximately $20 million of this amount will be committed by year end 2012, with the balance to be spent in 2013.

"We continue to work diligently to generate maximum value from Lindbergh, which has the potential to deliver over 30,000 barrels per day of long-life, low decline production for Pengrowth.
