JINAN, China, June 29 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Langchao Group announced today that they have been awarded the ''Best Outsourcing Partner Contribution Award'' at the first China International Software and Information Outsourcing Annual Meeting, which was held in the Shangri-La Hotel in Dalian, China, on June 23 2005. Langchao has grown its international outsourcing business by over 200% p.a. over the last 3 years and achieved strong business results, and throughout these years of rapid growth, Langchao's software outsourcing division has emerged as one of the market leaders within the industry.
Mr. Eric Kong Lee, the Langchao executive in charge of all outsourcing business, said, ''International software outsourcing is a long-term strategy for Langchao and plays a key role in driving the internationalization for the whole group.'' Langchao leverages its experiences and dominance in the China IT market to introduce international products, technologies and international management practices into its domestic businesses, while aiming to build up its international brand at the same time.
At present, Langchao has established many partnerships with companies from Europe, North America, Japan and South Korea. The company has established strategic partnerships with strong enterprises worldwide, such as Microsoft, IBM and NEC. Last year, Langchao signed a global strategic partnership agreement with Microsoft and became Microsoft's key partner and major outsourcing supplier in China. In addition, Langchao has established long-term outsourcing business relationships with Fitec, Hitachi and UGS-PLM.
To meet the growing demand for its software outsourcing services, Langchao has successfully acquired three companies in the outsourcing and testing arena last year. Two of the acquired companies were Japanese owned companies and one was a leading software testing company in China. To better serve its overseas customer base, Langchao established subsidiaries in Tokyo and the USA, supported with development centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan and Qingdao. The company has recruited many talents from the USA, Japan, Canada and Singapore, etc. in order to build up its international practices, software development and program management capabilities. At present, more than 10% of its employees in the outsourcing business have an international background. To secure its supply of highly qualified resources for the future, Langchao has worked closely with many universities and recently acquired a significant stake in a state university to provide academic degrees in the field of computer science and software outsourcing.
Besides this latest award, Langchao was selected earlier as a highest tier (Level A) outsourcing enterprise for the US and European markets by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and has obtained certifications in ISO9001, ISO14001 and CMM3, while CMMi5 certification has been planned for next year.
