DETROIT, July 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of the media only have a few more days to register for press credentials for the 2009 Chrysler Jeep Superstores APBA Gold Cup races July 10-12. The deadline for registration is noon on Wednesday, July 8.

To register for media credentials, applicants must fill out a form located at www.gold-cup.com/documents/2009MediaCredentialApplicationONLINEform.doc (Microsoft Word Document). Applicants must complete the form and e-mail it to moreinfo@gold-cup.com.

The authorized representative of organizations receiving approval for credentials may pick their packages up beginning on July 8 at noon at the Gold Cup Event Box Office, located in Waterworks Park - 10100 block of E. Jefferson Avenue in Detroit.

The 2009 event weekend will be an unprecedented and historic second 100th running of the APBA Gold Cup race. The 2008 Gold Cup was not completed due to inclement weather and a spectacular crash.
