CAS AG, the leading global provider of customer management and mobility solutions for the Consumer Products industry, today announced that its new, integrated product suite, called CAS 8, will be launched in the 4th Quarter of 2009.
“CAS 8 is a milestone release for our company, as well as for our customers. The eighth generation of our product line represents the largest software development initiative in our 24 year history,” said Stefan Joneck, Founder of CAS. “CAS 8 presents industry leading advances in Technology, Functionality, User Experience, Mobility and Total Cost of Ownership. Over the coming months, we will reveal how CAS 8 sets a new standard for the Consumer Products industry in each of these areas.”
CAS 8 affirms the strategic relationship between CAS and Microsoft. CAS, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, is the only globally managed Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV) dedicated to the Consumer Products market. In addition, CAS 8 embraces the spectrum of Microsoft products, including Design & User Experience (Silverlight), Developer Tools (.NET Framework and Visual Studio), Operating System (Windows), Application Server (Windows Server), Database (SQL Server), Reporting & Analytics (SQL Server), Mobile Devices & Software (Windows Mobile), Web Browser (Internet Explorer) and Business Tools (Office).
CAS 8 debuts new offerings specifically designed for Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO), Direct Store Delivery (DSD), and Field Service Execution (FSE). These are an extension of CAS solutions for Retail Execution (SFA) and Trade Promotion Management (TPM), which have previously been cited by Gartner, Inc. as “Strong Positive,” the only such vendor to receive the highest possible rating in each of the past two years (“MarketScope for Sales Force Automation in the Consumer Goods Industry” dated 11/12/08, and “MarketScope for Sales Force Automation in the Consumer Goods Industry, 2H07” dated 11/16/07).
CAS 8 presents a revolutionary new User Experience, built in collaboration with ERGOSIGN, a leading user interface design firm. CAS 8 will be the first enterprise-wide application of its kind to leverage the rich, interactive capabilities of Microsoft Silverlight, and incorporates a new, business process-driven navigation to deliver a truly differentiated user experience. The result is a completely re-engineered UI, based on design principles that focus on increasing “joy of use” and, ultimately, user adoption. In addition, CAS 8 delivers improved application performance.
CAS 8 is the only integrated software suite developed specifically for the Consumer Products industry that can be deployed on all major Mobility device platforms - including Smartphone, PDA, Tablet and Laptop - in “online” and “offline” environments.
Finally, CAS 8 presents significant improvements in speed-to-value and total cost of ownership (TCO). It includes a number of enhancements to the core configuration tools and the next edition of the CAS Pro2 process model. These new tools and enhancements will enable CAS Global Services, as well as our network of global system integration partners, to implement CAS 8 using less resources, time and cost.
“Our integrated software suite, mobility, deep vertical expertise and global coverage enables leading Consumer Products manufacturers to extend their ERP and CRM solutions,” said Joneck. “In fact, CAS now has more successful SAP integrations than any other leading provider in this segment.”
