Logica has entered into an agreement with Carl Lamm (STO:CLHO) for the delivery of a video conference system for Statistics Sweden (SCB), encompassing the delivery of full video conference functionality and AV technology. The agreement is for a four-year period, with an option for a two-year extension.
SCB has approximately 1,400 employees, of which 560 work in Stockholm and 680 in Örebro. In SCB’s public procurement process to engage ICT operational management services, requirements included delivery of a video conferencing service, in which a high level of service and short installation times were basic requirements. SCB outsources management of its ICT operations to Logica, and Logica in turn selected Carl Lamm to take over management of SCB’s video conferencing service, including exchanging the existing technology and upgrading all equipment at the offices in Örebro and Stockholm.
"SCB has office in Stockholm and Örebro. Being able to video conference means great cost savings primarily in terms of reduced travel costs. With support from Carl Lamm, we have modernized our system and made it more attractive to internal users, which will raise the level of usage,"says Hans Sjöberg, ICT unit manager at SCB.
"In today’s economic climate, in which companies are striving to cut costs and reduce their environmental impact, video conferencing is on the mark. We are delighted to have entered into this delivery agreement for SCB,"says Hans Johansson, Group President and CEO Carl Lamm Holding AB.
The IT company Carl Lamm operates in the document and information management sector and has a nationwide organization with operations in 26 strategic locations in Sweden, offering solutions for customers’ IT environments. Carl Lamm Holding AB was acquired in May 2009 by Ricoh Europe Holdings PLC. Carl Lamm is the exclusive distributor in Sweden for Ricoh products, Philips voice management systems, Francotyp-Postalia’s postage-meter systems and a distributor of Samsung multifunctional products. Furthermore, the company is a HP Gold Partner and a Microsoft Gold Partner.
